Nerja is a tourist hotspot being one of the coastal towns of the Costa Del Sol in the province of Malaga. Nerja is about 40 kilometers east of Malaga, and also car hire Malaga airport. It is an hours drive to Granada and 30 minutes to the Sierra Nevada. Its stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and coast are not to be missed.

Nerja has a history of caves and primitive art found in remote areas, discovered only in the late 20th century. The town was once a source of silk and agriculture products. An aqueduct was built only 2 centuries ago for a regular supply of water for various plantations.

A major tourist attraction has to be the Caves of Nerja, these caves are almost 5km long and now has regular events and tours throughout the caves. Discovered very recently and well worth a visit.
